Dan is very active in the North Carolina metalsmithing community and previously served as President of the Blueridge Hearthside Crafts Association located in Boone, North Carolina.
Dan received a blue ribbon for Best Jewelry In Show at the 1997 Matthews Arts Festival, outside of Charlotte, NC (shown above). His designs and jewelry are sold in many galleries and gift shops throughout the Carolinas.
Dan is known as an expert metalsmith (silver and gold), and also teaches frequent classes at the William Holland Lapidary School in Young Harris, Georgia.
